To Cut a Furrow on Ostara - Part of the Ostara Ritual

Every year we cut a furrow in the soil with the boar’s teeth of Frey and Freya. This happens most often not without resistance. Especially in uncultivated land it takes some effort to cut through tight packed ground or to overcome roots. In Life we have doubts about ourselves or hindrances from the outside, which stand in the way of our aim.
In the furrow we sow the seeds, who shall sprout und bear fruit. The seed of a new or a renewing of a relationship, the start an education, work related changes, growing-up, move into a new living environment, or the fruition of our plans and dreams. Every one of us has to bring out again and again a new seed in life. We set out again and have a fresh start in life.
The seed we water with the Ostara water, the wish to the Gods for support and incentive on our to make our aims come true.
One by one we cut the furrow, sow the seed and water them with Ostara’s water. Ostara is the time for the Awakening and the new beginning.
